Design sprint workshop: from idea to prototype in just 6 hours!
Simlead Lab | 2024
We packed an entire Design Sprint into a single day!
This hands-on, fast-paced workshop showed participants how to turn an idea into a testable prototype: quickly and without overthinking. We kicked things off with a crash course on Design Thinking, giving everyone the mindset to tackle problems creatively. Then we guided them through the Design Sprint process, step by step, using a real design challenge.

Here's how we did it
1. Empathize with the user
Using Empathy Maps, participants explored the needs, frustrations, and goals of the people (in this case Marianna, a marketing manager) they were designing for.
2. Define the problem
We turned observations into actionable hypotheses to focus our efforts on the right problems.
3. Generate a lot of ideas
With the Crazy 8s exercise, participants unleashed their creativity, sketching wild ideas in under 8 minutes.
4. Prototype like pros
We brought the best ideas to life with simple, scrappy prototypes—because perfection isn’t the point.
5. Test and get feedback
Participants tested their prototypes, gathered insights, and learned what worked (and what didn’t) in real-time.

Why it worked
This workshop was about doing. By the end of the day, participants had prototypes in their hands and a proven method they could use again and again to evaluate their hypotheses.
It was practical, creative, and yes, even fun.
